Spring time in the Eastern Townships always brings about flea markets. You can find the usual knick knacks and used products, aka “garage sale” but what gets me to shop are all the handmade vendors. I like seeing the regular joes with their soaps or vegetables & fruit or homemade foods. I also try to get into as many flea markets as I can. I’ve been a vendor at different markets for about 6 years now. I started out with my knitted products, and now I’m selling my Knits and Notions products. It’s the best way for customers to see what I have on hand.
My schedule for sales are:
Sutton Legion, (Sutton Quebec) April 12th 9am – 3pm
April 26th 9am – 3pm
In other news, I have a feature on a blog today, which you can read here: Mercantile 519 Blog
I met Nicole a couple years ago, and we’ve gotten to know each other by facebook posts and recently through pen-paling. I used to write a lot in the past, (before email!) and it’s been really nice to actually write letters again. There is a secret question for you guys to answer that you’ll only find on Nicole’s blog post, so if you’ve been to the blog, please comment below so that you can get another entry in my giveaway for alpaca yarn!

I had a fun time for my first craft sale of the season! I brought along my jumbo needles from Tjockt and got a lot of “oohhs” and “ahs” and a few laughs from the men. Most people here have not seen jumbo knitting needles, so I got a few pictures taken with them, and people had fun trying them out.
I brought along all my new yarn for sale, which will be up on the website soon, I promise! I have Ice yarn Alpaca mixes, which are very soft! If you have never touched alpaca, you must try it!
I have another craft show on December 7th, at the Trinity Church in Cowansville, Quebec. Can’t wait to see you there!
